12 Crore Gap
Case Study of the Twelve Crore Gap which was Bridged
Background:
The organization is among the largest private-sector fertiliser companies in India. It is a leading Agri-solutions provider, providing solutions and products for each stage of farming.
Issue:
- Misalignment of individuals with the team’s and the organization’s objectives.
- There was dissonance happening within the team, which affected the business growth.
- Difficulties in brainstorming within the team to devise the tools and strategies to cover the deficit of 12 crores.
Our Intervention:
The participants were divided into the following teams – Production, Fixed Cost, Marketing, and Procurement.
- Building Personal Lego Model: Each individual in the team built a model of how they could work towards decreasing the deficit of 12 crores.
- Sharing The Model: Everyone shared their ideas with the teams. The others listened to each other without judgements.
- Reflecting on The Model: This reflection time gave space for all the members to understand each other’s perspectives and pain points.
- They were able to identify a common objective and devised a plan to work across the different teams.
- They were asked to identify the barrier towards achieving their goal. A few of them were having strong ego positions, an inability to support cross-functional teams, closed-mindedness and indecisiveness.
